Club Fit Community
Ann Palmadesso, Fitness Director
I think health and fitness are key components to living a full and happy life. At Thanksgiving gatherings many say they are grateful for their health. Similarly, another holiday sentiment is celebratory wishes for a healthy and happy New Year ahead. But the benefits of health and fitness need to be sought daily year round. More than the aesthetic benefits of exercise, I have always more highly valued how it truly is medicine for some many issues. As such, it is so valuable for stress relief, mental health, improved immune system, mood enhancement, and increased confidence. There are many different ways to reap these benefits and each individual should find a pleasurable and sustainable routine that works for them. Personally, I enjoy a variety of methods in my quest to stay healthy and fit. I love teaching my group fitness classes which include cardio, toning and strength. Other days I enjoy an outdoor run followed by some weight lifting or body weight training. Lastly I have participated in and enjoyed a range of sports for my whole life, and I love picking up new ones when I can. Most recently these include tennis, pickleball, stand up paddle boarding and kayaking. Part of a quote I once heard helps explain my fitness goals. I want to have/maintain a “go anywhere, do anything you want body” that will hopefully positively contribute to society.
